LFRW Clubs

East Baton Rouge Parish RW

About Us

East Baton Rouge Parish Republican Women East Baton Rouge Parish Republican Women is one of the State’s founding clubs. It is Baton Rouge’s first club, established in 1953.  We are a fun-loving group of gals who work together to promote the ideals of patriotism and good government, while fervently supporting our Republican candidates. The mission of EBRPRW is to honor our Judeo-Christian values, to educate the public on political conservative principles, to support our community, and to honor our Veterans. While we provide a forum for all women to participate in the political process on the national, state and local level, we also participate in serving our community through donations of time and money to organizations such as the Baton Rouge Area Food Bank, The Louisiana War Veterans Home, The Iris Domestic Violence Center, The Magnolia House, Louisiana Family Forum among others. Luncheon meetings are held:  4th Thursday of the month at 12:00 Noon At Drusilla Seafood Restaurant 3482 Drusilla Ln

Join us for our April Luncheon-Hillar Moore

Thanks to Hillar for sharing his mission with us today.  If you would like more information about his tax proposal and how he plans to use the funds you can see his presentation here: EBRDA Millage PowerPoint.

District Attorney Hillar C. Moore, III has served East Baton Rouge Parish and the 19th Judicial District Court since 2009 with a people-first approach that emphasizes public safety, modernized prosecution, and community collaboration. With over 40 years of legal experience, Hillar is known for being present at crime scenes, meeting regularly with citizens, and working tirelessly as a prosecutor and advocate for victims.

His leadership has focused on addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, and opioid addiction through innovative initiatives like Stop the Loss and TRUCE. He has secured critical grant funding to support law enforcement, improve investigations, and target drug-related violent crime. Under Hillar’s guidance, the DA’s Office has expanded beyond prosecution to become a proactive force for community safety and support.

Hillar also champions expungement reform through the Baton Rouge Easy Expungement Screening (BREES) program, helping individuals with criminal records access better employment opportunities. He was instrumental in passing the Max Gruver Act, which redefined hazing as a felony when resulting in serious harm or death.

Now in his third term, Hillar leads one of the nation’s most diverse DA offices and is deeply embedded in the community, volunteering with numerous organizations. His work reflects a commitment to building stronger communities, not just stronger cases.
