We stay updated and educated on current political issues by holding a monthly lunch meeting. We invite various guest speakers through out the year that provide information on national, state or local interest. Our members leave feeling unified to promote the principles and ideas of the Republican Party.
Our club also is actively involved in initiatives adopted by our state and national federation. The Republican Women of Southwest Louisiana provide the funds and volunteer hours for Pillows for Troops, the Dictionary Project, and the Marie Key Martin Scholarship. Our organization also oversees the local Republican Headquarters for key elections. This is a huge undertaking of time and volunteer hours to set up and staff each day during elections.
