Commitment To America Committee

The Americanism Committee’s purpose is to deepen our members’ knowledge of the history of our nation and their dedication to its ideals of freedom and opportunity. LFRW members are committed to building a citizenry that values our nation and its heritage of liberty, democratic government, opportunity, and civic engagement.

The Committee has a broad agenda – from encouraging our members to welcome newly naturalized citizens, to teaching young children the Pledge of Allegiance and the privilege of voting, to engaging in Constitution projects of various kinds, to presenting to an honored guest  a flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol.

The LFRW’s “Civics for Kids” Project won the NFRW Grand Prize at the 2009 NFRW National Convention in Orlando.  This project aims to instill in children and young adults an ardent love of country and insure knowledgeable future citizens.  We are justly proud of our “Civics for Kids” Project.

Armed Forces Committee

Special Committee with no vote on LFRW Board
The Republican Party has always championed a strong foreign policy, supporting countries that promote freedom and equality, working to advance these causes in developing nations and in those lacking a tradition of democracy and freedom.

America’s troops are in the forefront of protecting our nation – its freedom and its security – and deserve the support of every citizen of America.  Everyday they risk their lives to secure our nation and its citizens from attacks by those who wish us harm.  We owe them our gratitude and our support.

The Armed Forces Committee is in contact with all Federation clubs to encourage them to support a project benefiting veterans and to champion their efforts to support our troops fighting for freedom around the world.

The Committee Chair keeps a list of possible projects benefiting our troops and shares this list with clubs at Board and Conference Meetings.
